Let me start by saying- Entrepreneurship is a very fulfilling journey. Germinating an idea, watering it with sweat, tears & blood, and seeing it grow is an experience with no equal.
I became an entrepreneur in 2011. Went through helluva roller coaster ride. Unfortunately, the venture failed and we had to shut it down after about 3.5 years.
Over the last few years, I have been approached by many people- friends, acquaintances, students for advice on becoming an entrepreneur and sharing my learnings. Many times I have thought of writing about the rich experience, but have always hesitated. It is the success stories that people like reading.
But then over the last few years, I have also been able to look back on the experience with detachment and objectivity. There have been many learnings, mistakes and pitfalls to avoid.
So here is a genuine attempt to bring to fore various facets of my entrepreneurial journey. Probably it will help in providing more clarity or a reality check before or during the entrepreneurial journey.
Here goes the first one...I start with my experience of the last day of the venture and then travel backwards.
I plan to publish an article every week. Would love to hear your feedback that will help me in making the writing more engaging and relevant.
